Multiple Sclerosis, or MS, is a disease of the brain and spinal cord (central nervous system) that can potentially become disabling. The patient’s immune system often attacks the protective sheath that covers nerve fibers, which inhibits the brain’s communication with the rest of the body.

There are many signs and symptoms of MS. Common things to watch for include:

  • Numbness or weakness in one or more limbs, usually on one side of the body
  • Partial or complete loss of vision, usually starting in one eye, and often include pain during eye movement
  • Prolonged double vision
  • Slurred speech
  • Fatigue
  • Dizziness
  • Problems with bowel and bladder function
  • Tingling sensations in the body
  • Electric-shock sensations when bending forward

There is no current cure for Multiple Sclerosis. Fortunately, the doctors and specialists at Complete Brain Center have years of experience in diagnosing and treating this formidable disease, so please contact us as soon as possible if you experience any symptoms.
